New Business Spotlight: Acqua Al 2 in West Stockbridge

Searching for a taste of Italy? Berkshires BFF is thrilled to tell you all about Acqua al 2, located at 3-5 Center Street in West Stockbridge.

The second U.S. outpost of the original Acqua al 2 in Florence, Valentino and Liza Pagliari opened the restaurant this fall, which serves dinner from Wednesdays through Fridays between 5 and 11 p.m. Their menu boasts starters, salad, pastas, chicken and steak dishes, as well as desserts that are made daily in-house. In addition to the fabulous menu, Acqua al 2 has a full bar and selection of red and white Italian wines.

"We aim to provide a cozy but dynamic space where clients enjoy each other’s company while savoring their food and wine, a taste of what dining in Italy is like" Liza told Berkshires BFF, "We hope to be a space for locals, tourists, and those attending shows at Tanglewood."

All of Acqua's salads and the sauces for their pastas and meats are made in-house with simple and fresh ingredients.

Their speciality is the "assaggi," or tasting menus, which are great ways for customers to discover flavors from across the menu through a community experience. Order this way and your party can sample three salads, four cheeses, five pastas, three steaks and even a sampler of daily desserts.

"Meeting new people, reconnecting with regular, and sharing stories of Italy" are the best part of running the business, Liza explained,"It’s fun to see parties on their way in or out stop to talk to other tables. We love that sense of community."
