Seven Sandwich Sites
Sandwiches are the perfect lunch and there are a great variety offered throughout the county.
The Bistro Box 937 Main Street, Great Barrington
For a fantastic panini and hand-cut fries, this seasonal eatery is one of our summer go-tos. The Bistro Box is located on a beautiful piece of land with picnic tables and a great view, and an even greater menu.
777 Main Street, Great Barrington
Craving a bagel and lox? Check. Craving an awesome specialty sandwich? Look no further. The menu here is enormous and the service is wonderful. Grab a Tanglewood with turkey, bacon, sprouts, honey mustard, swiss and muenster on any type of bagel, bread or wrap. We love it on the 12 grain! You can order in advance for pickup during their lunch rush or grab a seat at one of their many tables.
Juice N' Java
661 Main Street, Dalton
We think Juice N' Java makes the best sandwich in this part of the Berks. It's a great spot for coffee lovers and there are always intriguing sandwich specials, like the one we had in July with grilled chicken, brie and apples. There are also several tables here to enjoy lunch with friends.
42 Main Street, Lenox
Loeb's is a classic and has been serving Berkshire County since 1959! Happy 65th! If you stop here for some grocery essentials, don't even think about leaving without a sandwich from their deli. We love a Brendan's Favorite with homemade roast beef, chipotle gouda, lettuce, tomato, onion and horseradish sauce on rye.
8 Main Street, West Stockbridge
Going on a picnic? Pop by Public Market for sandwiches and snacks on your way! Under the same ownership as Loeb's, you can order from their specialty menu or build your own sandwich at this local favorite!
240 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington
Marketplace has several menu categories, from breakfast and burgers to salads and sandwiches. With plenty of indoor seating, enjoy your day-after Thanksgiving sandwich, Bartholomew's Gobble, with house roasted turkey, herb stuffing, greens, tomato and cranberry mayo.
139 South Main Street, Sheffield
Love GB Eats? Their owners opened Sugar and Rye in fall 2023. Choose from a variety of sandwiches on their standard menu or try one of their weekly specials. You can also enjoy a scoop of SoCo ice cream here!
We would be remiss to not at least mention our favorite sandwich ever from the old Monterey General Store. It's been years, but we'll never forget their smoked trout sandwich with tomato, red onion, mayo and fresh dill.
